Write for us
Trusted Sports Insider welcomes pitches from writers who can make one part of sport clearer without flattening its detail. We are interested in original, carefully framed work that helps a general reader understand a game, its rules, tactics, equipment, formats or customs.
What makes a good pitch
Send a concise proposal that names the question, the sport or context it concerns, and the reader's likely takeaway. Explain how you would keep the piece distinct from a general overview, and note any sources or specialist terms the explanation would need. We value specific angles, plain language and a calm, evidence-minded tone.
What we consider
We consider explanatory pieces, comparisons, histories and thoughtful guides to following a particular format or custom. Pitches should have a clear scope and be useful without invented anecdotes, unsupported claims or advice that depends on professional coaching. Please disclose relevant commercial interests.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A short outline is enough for an initial pitch; please do not submit a complete draft unless requested. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication, and terms can be discussed if a piece is commissioned.
